"When it's cold enough to require a balaclava, I need goggles to prevent my glasses from fogging.  I use OTG (over the glasses) ski goggles - the cheap kind - untinted (since I am often riding in the dark in winter)."

How are you keeping warm?

To keep warm:I was wearing my soccer scarf then inserting my face in it, but recently experimented with a neck gaiter.  It is stretchy and light and when you exhale warmth out while under it, you can keep your face warm.My hands were hurting until I got a new pair of winter gloves that were cozy inside. Made all the difference. I have found that breaking wind (pardon the pun) makes all the difference too. In 20F even a normal button down shirt and my leather jacket which is wind resistant was…See More

Recycling old helmets

FYIhttps://helmets.org/recycle.htI guess I'll do what that article recommends:-Trash the strap-Recycle the plastic shell and strap lock-Use up foam as packing foamOf course the latter suggestion means it will get landfilled elsewhere so that suggestion is not really recycling (much) . If you know of any other solutions for disposing ethically of your old helmets please let us know. ThanksSee More

"I'd say that for anyone that passes on the right with no bike lane at intersections. And a lot of bike lanes disappear at intersections for that reason. Watch out for those situations."

Go left of parking buses

I'm so tired of seeing bikers try to out-right a bus that's heading to a bus stop where they can get squooshed (a good bus driver will typically notice them and let them pass but they don't always see you).   The buses are expecting you to go left of a parking or parked bus.  But they don't always wait for us to go past before heading off so be prepared to slow down.  Never let your ego ride the bike.Same with trucks and cars that can make a right before you get to the corner, don't assume you…See More

"I ride the right tire path of the automotive traffic, which is "as far right as practicable" in my view. Traffic has to move into the other lane to pass yet I still have maneuverable room to my right if crowded. I ride with a rearward…"
