Wow!

Yes, "wow" is also my response to 171 views of my post and this being the one and only response. I guess everyone here is too busy being a "hard-core" snow rider to acknowledge this woman's amazing achievements.

My suggestion is to put this up as an event. She sounds very interesting and I'm sure a lot of people would like to hear her story. Her name isn't one that people are familiar with so it's possible people missed the full message when they read it.

Yes, people are concerned about getting to work in the aftermath of the snow storm.

JMG, Sarah Outen is certainly inspiring to all of us in this community. I'm sure many of us would love to participate in an adventure with our bikes at any level of participation. Sarah, good luck, God speed, and "just keep on pedaling" !

Was she on Rte. 20 between Belvidere and Marengo on Wednesday afternoon around 1pm? I was driving to Rockford via this road and saw a biker with a full facemask and front and rear panniers passing eastbound.  I thought to myself, "I wonder if that is Sarah." I wanted to stop and talk but the rider was busy going one way and I was busy going the other.

I might go.   Curious to hear about adventure.   Although I worked out that she's been averaging <1mph...lol

David, yes that was her. She rode from somewhere north of Rockford to Elgin yesterday and according to her tracker she was on Rte 20 most of the way.
Thanks for creating the event on the calendar, Yasmeen/Cameron --I'm not connected to Sarah in any way, I just heard about her amazing journey a couple of months ago and have been following along on Twitter as she's cycled down through Alaska, Canada and now into the lower 48.
She'll be on "Chicago Tonight" tonight on channel 11

+1
