Wish I had time, but Sno*Drift is next week and I needed to replace a belt pulley, add a dollop of anti-freeze, get some hooded wiper blades and otherwise make the car northern Michigan-poof. I went through an ice storm in Quebec last month and had a list of things to do before this trip.
Tomorrow after the laundry is done I may try a ride toward town if it hasn't gotten too cold.
Whoa, thanks for reminding me of Sno*Drift! It had totally fallen off my radar....I haven't been for years!

it was a great day for a 50 mile jaunt up the botanical gardens and back.
I went in 2008 as a mechanic for some friends who crashed on Saturday. Clearing snow and adjusting tie rods lying on ice was bad enough but pulling car off a tree stump and skidding what remained of it on to a trailer deep in the woods in two feet of snow was a bit much. The year after that I volunteered to manage the timing equipment and have been a stage captain ever since.
100 Acre Wood is in Missouri next month. If you've never gone it's a good event, too. Kind of like what I imagine with bike touring (which I want to try this fall), for these rallies I end up in places I'd never think of visiting but always enjoy the experience.
I want to do at least one commute tomorrow or Wednesday on the bike, but I've got to get up earlier. Sunday wasn't too bad when I sent out to get some shell mittens for the wind and do some shopping.
