That was kind of cool, though it looked like a whole lot of pain...

On a macro level its disconcerting.  I can't help imagining the trickle turning into a tide as regards the polar ice cap.  On a micro level its a stolen delight to wear shorts and unfigrered gloves on a December day.  Took a ride this morning up to the Botanic Garden.  Came home and did some errands on the bike.  Yum.

I agree.  As pleasant as it is to be able to ride in a t-shirt on the occasional day in December, the problems we've already seen with increasing weather extremes (heat, drought, flooding, etc.) make me wonder how high the price of these pleasant days will get over the next 5 years.

I did enjoy my outdoor time today.  I went for a ride around twilight.  Lots of people were still outside putting up Christmas decorations.  Seeing lights moving around, seemingly unaided, in several front yards, was a little bit magical.

A very pretty morning.  No sweat, the front of my shirt lightly damp from the fog.  Unlike everyone else I saw on the lakefront this morning who were soaked because they didn't have fenders.

Freaky weather this morning. So foggy that I was pretty wet from the dew but it was quite warm. Felt like I was riding in some sort of ethereal dream. Now that we are officially in meteorological winter, it makes one wonder about what is in store for us this season.

My head felt like I was riding in a fog this morning, and I think I was riding in slow motion.  As slow as I normally ride, with riding in slow motion it is amazing I made it to work!

it was warm, then cold, then warm, then cold, weird but cool riding down the path.

There are a few odd rivulets of air along the lake that cause some serious temperature shifts for only a hundred feet or so.  I took some pictures this spring of fog following them that look pretty cool.

The Peace Garden - I love that spot.  Thanks for sharing your beautiful photos.
