How did the first open shop go? I wanted to come but I had too much going on that day. I live 2 blocks from WBC.

Where did I get the neighborhood boundaries? Dunno, various maps. Heart of Chicago is definitely not a neighborhood within Pilsen-- I think you're thinking of what they've recently been calling "Heart of Italy" around 25th and Oakley.

Pilsen/Little Village would be much more fair than calling it Pilsen. Pilsen extends from Canal to Ashland E/W and from the tracks at 14th-16th to the canal corridor N-S.

From Ashland out to 2500 W. is Heart of Chicago, which got its name from being in the exact center of the city.

Glad to see this programming.

Did the Sunday open shop happen again, or was it a one-time thing?

FYI the current Working Bikes location is not in Pilsen; from Ashland west to the tracks behind WBC the neighborhood is Heart of Chicago. You're only a block from the start of Little Village so you could more accurately refer to it as being in Little Village if you're afraid nobody's heard of Heart of Chicago.
