Share your pics, videos, streets, stories of what you find in the bike lane of the non-bike variety that has an impact on your ride and/or your safety. I've decided to keep it a little more open ended - cars, snow, buses, garbage, cabs, etc. If they shouldn't be in the bike lane, go ahead and add it to this thread. Please be safe if you are taking pics or video! :-)

My hope is that we can collectively build some evidence of what we see when riding in the city with the overall hope of better enforcement of "bikes only" and improving maintenance.

Update: More Hashtags to Capture Vehicles in the Bike Lane

With popular hashtags:
#BikeLaneShaming

#LaneSpreading (Chicago Bike Selling)

#ClearTheWay (ActiveTrans), there are many options to capture violations.

We think you should use ALL of them AND post your photos on The Chainlink. ;-)

Clinton bike lanes. Add to that hoarded of pedestrians!

The USPS truck has been parking in that exact spot since the lane first opened, as reported in one of the Clinton bike lanes threads.

USPS delivery vehicles are not subject to parking laws. Isn't there something odd about that?

Wow love that standard blast of anti-bike lane vitriol that pops up in the DNAinfo comments anytime there is something bike lane related...

I try to find humor in it. The number of thoughtful, intelligent responses by cyclists and reasonable people has been outweighing those comments. In the last year, I feel like I'm starting to see this changing for the better.

It appears that the comment section is not included in the most recent DNAinfo article about vehicles getting ticketed for parking in a bi... This is probably a good move.

I noticed that as well. The comments are on fire on DNAinfo's FB. Same comments, same rebuttals. It's deja vu.

I can't even tell if some of them are tongue in cheek or not. Example: "More pro-bike propaganda to support the War ON Drivers rom the fascist bike-enthusiast industrial complex." Easy there, I thought Trump had a lock on insane hyperbole.

Check out his FB profile. Pro-gun, pro-Rand and Vice Chair of the Chicago Republican Party. His comments to people that disagree with him are equally as entertaining.

Someone needed a coffee

That last image should be an immediate tow.

Wicker Park, public safety.
