I observed a road rage incident Grand just west of Franklin this morning at about 9am. I'm posting this so that the cyclist who was the intended target knows that I called 911 immediately after, and provided the car's license plate number, a description of the car and driver, and a description of what happened, and my last name and cell phone number. From what I saw, the driver aimed for and just barely missed hitting the cyclist, but I don't know what happened after that.

Let me know if you need anything. I was the cyclist in the neon yellow jersey.

Thanks for being a witness and looking out for other cyclists. Giving this a bump on the feed...

I feel that it's time to form a massive protest regarding motorist rage towards bicyclists in Chicago. Why can't we use a critical mass ride for this purpose???? Critical mass is used to create a party atmosphere, when are we cyclists going to use it to create social change? We keep wringing our hands in angst regarding motor vehicle road rage; when do we take to the streets and protest? Or are we going to party during critical mass and pooh pooh the road rage among ourselves?

Three cheers for citizens like Cathy!

Hey Waymond, get with it, man!  Urban Velo threw CM under the bus all the way back in August 2014 because the rides weren't just fun any more with all the tedious politics!  And they were late to the party!

But seriously, the non-political stance is the only reason Critical Mass riders aren't arrested en masse (in Chicago): I think filling the streets with cheerful bicyclists who are legally untouchable is actually pretty friggin political in itself.  But... isn't there a better thread for this?
