14th District CPD reported earlier this morning that the bike was sold to someone who turned it into the police.  Unfortunately, no one in custody.

My favorite part of the story is the mastermind in the stroller.

I didn't think Baby Finster was real.

Arrests made,

Two people were arrested Sunday in connection with a theft by what has been dubbed the "Wicker Park Stroller Gang."

Gwenel McKeebey was charged with theft from a restaurant's tip jar, and a juvenile was charged with bike theft.

Surveillance cameras captured a group of thieves with a stroller carrying a baby stealing from Craft Pizza, 1252 N. Damen Ave., on Nov. 8. The video showed one of two young women in the group taking a $10 bill from the tip jar and hiding it in a carry-out menu.

Another security camera in the rear of the building captured a man in the group climbing a 10-foot tall fence and stealing a $700 bicycle that belonged to restaurant cook Aaron Johnson, according to Scott Toth, co-owner of the newly opened pizzeria.

"He just climbed it no problem," Johnson said.

Yeah, Davis Moore, Aaron left it unlocked in plain sight behind a LOCKED ten foot high spiked wrought iron security gate. It (the gate) was locked and Aaron was reasonably assured his belongings were secure. He did not expect a determined, desperate, and agile thief to steal his belongings.

Many people who relocate to Chicago are naive and too trusting of their neighbors in the big bad city. Human nature tends to be trusting. Aaron has learned his lesson and said to me, "from now on he will trust no one". Which is a lesson for all of us. But you, Davis Moore, are a perfect human being with no sympathy for others, so you, of course, would not understand.
Yeah, I would think after a couple of times, he would've learned his lessons, though!
6 times?

Yeah, JustWill, you also, are a perfect human being, who has learned all his worthwhile lessons in life, and has no sympathy for others, so you, of course, would not understand.

Ahh. Good ole 'blaming the victim.' What was he wearing anyways? Was he drunk? Was he asking for it?

You know, in South Korea, people leave their phones at charging stations unattended. To steal something would be so shameful that nobody does it. A good friend once walked around all day with the equivalent of 80USD hanging out of her backpack when some kind person finally pointed it out to her, lest she drop it.

We live in a culture of theft, and that's part of the problem… not just the slutty bike owner.

Thanks, Ruby Red, I was beginning to doubt whether there were any real, normal human beings out there in "chainlinkland".
