The Chainlink

Traffic 'round these parts dropped off pretty dramatically a few weeks ago... hard to tell from the "I rode today" thread who's still riding, as one would have to conclude that Gene is the only one out there most days by reading it....

Who's sticking it out and plans to continue to ride pretty much every day regardless of weather?

Might be time for the goggles now, although once I got going the clear cycling glasses seemed to be working reasonably well. :-)  I am always amazed at how much I like riding my bike when it is 20 degrees.

Brrr. Chilly riding the past two days. This year I am sporting some PI amfib tights though and they are definitely warm! They fit me terribly as they are not intended for tall and thin gals. The articulated knee bends about 2 inches above where it should! Still, absolutely worth it for me because the windblock fabric along the thighs and the light fleece interior makes them quite cozy.

Oh boy it looks to be a pretty cold morning ride to work at 8 degrees.... 9 miles isn't so bad right? Am I insane? My roommates think I'm retarded.

I took yesterday off but back at it today. Anyone else feel that winter riding takes a lot out of you. I feel drained after my 6  mile commute..assume it has  something to do with the cold.

Heading out the door to work. Not expecting to see many other riders this morning. Pulling out my lobster mitts for this ride!!

woo hoo!

I rode to the grocery store - at least you don't need to worry about the milk going sour or the ice cream getting soft at this time of the year.

Funny you should mention milk.... someone dropped a gallon jug of it on the sidewalk in front of my front steps last night and now there's a white ice puddle to avoid.....

Snow!

Nice first ride in the snow.

I still here!  Biking everyday to work & everywhere else :)

Give a wave next time you see me!
