If a Divvy station is installed in a planned location, and then disappears completely after a week or so,

and it doesn't happen on the north side...

did it really happen?

... it was never really there?

Maybe a tree fell on it.

Where was it?

That must have been the Keyser Söze Divvy station... and like that, poof... he's gone.

????

I have seen that happen. It's a ninja, it's there you just don't see it anymore. Ninja vanish, smoke screen type stuff.

Can a Ninja occupy the same space as parked cars?

If they are really good the appear to be the parked car. . .

Look around the corner... the stations tend to move.

Neil STeinberg's column in today's ST points out that Divvy had to move a docking station on Wabash closer to Michigan because the solar panels weren't getting enough sun to power the station under the El tracks.  Possible explanation?

But to agree with other folks: Uh, where exactly are you talking about?  And did anyone use it?  If it went totally unused for a week, I could see moving it.
