I was on it from Foster to Montrose around 2:00 pm; it was plowed and salted. Usually, if that is done, the rest is done the same way.

How icy is the lakefront path?  I am considering riding to U of C tomorrow but if the path is icy I will consider other options.

It was fairly free of ice and snow around 51st or so.  I think it'll be pretty clear with the occasional patch at the usual spots.

Easy going, (compared to Friday evening) back on the hoods, back on Lincoln to Wells, 45 gear inches most of the way home.  Head winds gave a nice facial.

Great day for a ride!

Got on the LFP at the tunnel in Margate park, between Lawrence and Foster. around 3:00

Rode down the LFP to Fullerton, Bright sunny day saw one other bicyclist. The sun felt great!

tough work heading west on Dickens in to the wind.

Left work at 12:30am headed north on Southport 17 degrees.

The WNW wind not as bad as Friday night.

rode the LFP from Foster to North.  Its clear and well-salted except for ice at Fullerton and just south of North Ave

I saw how sunny it was and decided the best way to enjoy it would be to walk to errands and shopping.

Heart of Chicago is a beautiful neighborhood with a light snow cover and glowing yellow sunlight.

I did ride yesterday after getting feedback on the LFP here.  The path was fine until Fullerton. The beach areas were wind and ice swept and were barricaded.  I took Clark down to the loop from Fullerton and State down to Hyde Park. The city streets were open and easy.  The salt is a love hate thing.  No ice and easy cycling. However, I have to attend to the bike tonight. She's a salty dog.

Busted up the shifter cable on the way in.  Steady 75 GI's was a lot for these vintage knees to handle on the way home.  Yes I own a salty steel dog too.

Sniff sniff, I'm pouting and whining while hopping on CTA.  Broken cable gets attended to Thursday.
