As part of the Chicago's plan to install 150 - 250 miles of innovative bikeways,
nine community advisory groups have formed to collect grassroots input on the plan
from every part of the city. I recently caught up with Johanna Thompson and Steven Lane, co-leaders of the West Side advisory group, to find out about the issues in their district and what they're doing to get feedback from every neighborhood in the area:

Keep moving forward,

I put my route on the map at some end party/art show in Pilsen.

2 routes IMO that could be done now. Bloomingdale and Lake street for West access.

Bloomingdale is in the works!

Wesside Yo!

I know I know they are designing the plan? (tough) and acquiring funding I just see it as the light rail that is/was supposed to be built in Detroit. count to 10 and keep counting as the years go by.

Actually, they got $36.5 million in federal and state for the Bloomingdale funding and Emanuel says he's going to build it by 2015. I didn't vote for the man, but it's nice to have a mayor who's good friends with the president!
