Ray LaHood stops in Logan Square to tout $20 million for Blue Line, bike share

Just got back from a chilly press conference at Logan Square's Blue Line stop,
where U.S. Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood announced a $20 million stimulus
grant to Chicago to help fix the El and expand the city's bike share system.

Read the transcript of LaHood's speech here.

Keep moving forward,

There were a couple of little children who were very disappointed when they peaked through the crowd and saw ... the Governor. In a little bit, their sad faces were turned to smiles when they finally could see (and I think were photographed with) the Mayor.

Great news! perhaps we can now afford to have the bike share bikes built in Chicago?
