Just remember, as the weather gets warmer, more people will be riding/walking the LFT. Be mindful of pedestrians and cyclists, and yourself.

But if pedestrians or other cyclists are acting like the world revolves around them, politely let them know - this goes for spots along the popular beaches, Navy Pier, the Yacht clubs, and Museum Campus.

So this timberbell mtb bell is sort of like a cyclist cowbell. On & off switch. $20.
Doesn't sound really loud, just a minimal reminder. Interesting.

I saw a guy several months ago with an actual cowbell hanging from the rails on the back of his saddle. It was fun, but i'm not sure how effective since it mostly just let out one "clank!" a second after he slowed... The counterpoint was a little weird.

Are you sure the weather is ever going to get warmer?  And if it does, will it be raining all the time?  It has been a ridiculous "Spring" so far.

They're fixing this now. (Well they probably called it quits for the day, but repairs started today).

And now, Summer. It's gonna be a hot one. Phoenix is already 100 degrees! Tuesday 4-10-18 at 2:58pm.

I moved here from Phoenix--don't miss it :)

Something to keep in mind -- going northbound on the LFT near North Avenue where the trails split, there's a misleading direction on the ground as to who's supposed to go where, so that could explain why you see a few stray pedestrians in the bike lanes. They need to clear up that ambiguity.

That new section is very narrow and if you go off it you're in a sand trap. And sand's already drifting over that narrow path. I think it'll be a complete bottleneck so bikers will start to avoid it and take the wider walking path in the afternoon.

Yesterday morning they were cutting a BIGGER CHUNK out of that piece that's missing (and not in your video)...if I didn't have to get to work, I would have pulled over and asked WTF was happening.

They are currently draining the lake, but these things take time.
