Kona Prototype Band Wagon stolen from Rapid Transit Cycleshop

Be on the lookout in Humboldt Park for "Roberto" who never returned from a test ride with this bike:

The bike is Chrome Silver with white accents - it says KONA on the down tube









I confronted him riding it in Humboldt Park this evening at about 9:15PM just south of the Tennis Courts by California Street.

CCM September Map Suggestion

Check out the Freedom Ride map for September's Chicago Critical Mass for your consideration. We worked hard to make a fun ride and drove the route to be sure it works.

From Evanston to Africa

I’m just an old guy (63) with an old bicycle (1978 Peugeot), but I just completed my sixth consecutive North Shore Century. If you’re not familiar with the event, it’s a round trip bicycle ride from Evanston to Kenosha, and it’s sponsored by the Evanston Bike Club.



This year was the 26th consecutive event, and it featured rides of 25,50,62,70 and 100 miles. Being a glutton for punishment, I’ve always signed up for, and completed, the 100 mile event.

Looking for local participation

I'm an avid cyclist originally from Chicago who has recently started the

Gutter Bunny Project with a fellow bike enthusiast. I have this great event planned in Chicago featuring bike inspired art, fashion show and an interactive bike you can ride featuring video of cycling footage worldwide.
