Hello Everyone,
This is my 1986 Prelude, with a lot of vintage upgrades. I finally found a 27" Campagnolo wheelset for it, but I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good source of 27" tires. Supposedly, there are still Michelins and Panaracers made in this size, but I have no idea where to buy them. I'm not so fond of the Forté kevlar tires from Performance Bikes.

Daniel, almost as if on cue, someone on CL is selling derailleurs and other parts from a Schwinn Sprint:

I just got a 70's Schwinn Spirit. The owner previosly removed the front derailer and the shifting lever. Does anyone know where I can find one for my bike. I would like to have all original parts.

I have a refurbished 1983 Peugeot. This is it's third incarnation as it was brutalized in a bad accident in August 2007. It is now a single speed and weighs a mere 21 lbs. I love the French and I love this bike!

I also have a couple of Japenese raleighs, found in the trash, and fixed up. I'm riding one tonight to the beverly cycling clubs event.

Mine's a Taiwan-made (hi-ten steel) '89 Schwinn Sprint 27"/10spd to 700C/single speed convert. The only original parts on the frame are the fork/headset/stem and brake calipers/cables/housing. My parts bin provided the rest: Shimano 105 square taper cranks w/Wellgo SPD platform pedals, pink ano 42t chainring, Shimano cartridge bb, Shimano 3/32" 16t freewheel, Trek flat bars w/ODI bmx lock-ons, alloy bmx brake levers, Aurora/105 front wheel & Mavic/Suzue rear wheel w/Panaracer cross tires, Specialized saddle, alloy seatpost, and fenders from a 26X1 3/8" English racer. Weighs around 27lbs but rides very nicely on and off road.

I have a 72 Schwinn super sport. I bought it new, when I came home from the army.

Guess I should be here since I'm on a '70s Schwinn. :)
