Thanks, Mark. I will remember that.
James, once this latest crisis is taken care of, I think my bike and I should come down and meet you.
I always take my 1987 Trek 400 (that I ride year-round) to Uptown Bikes. They enjoy working on vintage bikes, and have many older new and used parts that I couldn't find at other bike shops. Big John is my favorite mechanic.
Morgan, I specialize on working on vintage bikes and am located in Logan Square.
my 1970's (?) Columbia Sport is starting to have some issues and i haven't found a mechanic i like. most bike shops seem interested in working on newer bikes and don't have the patience for mine--and that's if they even admit to knowing what to do with it. anyone have a mechanic they trust close to the north side?
thanks!
is a mere sixty days out. I still need committments for volunteers to be ride marshalls. Marshalls will assist the Ride Captain keeping the group together and handling enroute breakdowns. PM me via The Chainlink if you'd like to help out.
Anyone interested in joining for a vintage social ride on 08 Oct 11?
