Whatever we do we should fucking go south to at least Pilsen. When was the last ride south?

Unless of course we somehow do the ride concept that is entirely created by a computer (for a better discussion of this concept and it's execution, http://bit.ly/96gb86).

I like a blend of Spencers' an h3n3's plan. - MINUS the route only destinations. We pick 4-8 stops to hit and just state the order. Some people may jump ahead and skip the stops they do not like.
I am new student to this class: Mass Management 101

Spencer's: Let's make a map using Google Bicycle. Let's pick like eight spots where we want to visit. Plug em all in and then ride it. No changing it, just follow the map. If that means go straight into the river than by God bring your swim trunks!
h3n3's
How about this:
Meet downtown, central location, maybe Daley Plaza?
After-work space, somewhere around 5:30.
When it seems like most everyone has arrived, take to the streets and ride somewhere in a group.
Thoughts?

Ha! No actually I think a mass might trivialize the crimes he and his thugs perpetrated against humanity. I don't know, but to me it would seem in poor taste. Where would we go? To the police station on Belmont and Western where he put the "violet wand" up innocent people's anal cavities? God, how depressing... Let's change the subject.

Spencer, do you mean like the April "Jail Jon Burge" ride?

We just had an overtly political ride. Todd, let's avoid that for the next time you and I want to inject our personal agenda's into the mass. ; )

I love rides to Devon. And it would be a good excuse to make up a sign like "Stop the Drones" :)

But if the weather is crappy we'd likely end up with a fairly small group going the distance.

Chinatown might work better for March. If only we knew someone who could come up with a good way to get there... Maybe Google could rescue us.

Andrew, I'm in agreement with the general consensus. Howard is a very valuable member of the biking community. He's down right awesome in the map planning and leading category. He has skills in this area that many of us just haven't developed. It seems like he contributes to almost every ride in some way or the other. The last ride for example he had the idea to reroute the map to visit West Town. Todd and I totally dropped the ball on that one, it didn't even occur to us to pay them a visit.

Sure Howard is as much a grump as I am an arrogant SOB but that's part of his charm.

Yeah, that Howard guy is a real downer, what with expressing his well thought out opinion based on long time experience with mass.

What a jerk.

Just because you don't like what he says does not mean he does not have a valid point. There is a difference between holding something back and criticizing ideas.

I will gladly start a Hegewisch CM!!!

The ride has come within 200 feet of my place many times.

The typical route past my place has been up Milwaukee and turning north on Kedzie although we've done it other ways too.

We could get a little closer to my neighborhood by going up my alley, but the only hidden gems to be found are the shards of glass poking up from the cracks.
