My aging carcass. That's a good one, mind if I borrow it? As long as the vultures haven't started feasting yet, I think you might still have some hope left.
Ride longer on more days. That's as specific as I'm going to get. Started the year by checking out a bit of new bike infrastructure and enjoying part of the Cosmic Bikes ride.
I'd like to get into bikepacking this year! I did one overnight trip to Michigan last year (tour de shore, which was awesome) but it was fully supported which made it easy as pie. This year I'd like to work toward doing it on my own. Open to any tips you may have for gear suggestions and routes to start small from the city!
Hi Melanie! I've been wanting to do more of those trips as well. Eric did a breakdown of the essential gear for The Chainlink recently: Bikepacking Essential Gear
Please share your stories and pictures from your trips. I'd love to see where you go.
Ride up to Kenosha along the DesPlaines River Trail and adjacent trails, stay overnight, and return to Chicago along the North Shore Channel Trail, and adjacent trails.

That looks like a great ride, I may have to add that one to my resolutions for the year.
I'd like to ride more and longer, much like Anne Alt. Additionally, I want to ride faster for longer periods of time. I'd like to be a better climber this year also. I'm doing the Michigan Mountain Mayhem and the One Love Century, so I will be able to test my ability on those rides.
I just want to ride happier and do more exciting rides.
Ride 5000 miles for the year and complete 4 centuries.
