Former anti-bike columnist Mark Konkol fired from job as Chicago Reader editor

On Saturday, following an outcry from staff, columnists, and readers over the racially-charged cover of last week's Chicago Reader, as well as the mistreatment of employees, new editor Mark Konkol was fired after ten days on the job: http://www.robertfeder.com/2018/02/18/mark-konkol-chicago-reader-ed...

Konkol previously wrote many articles for the Sun-Times and DNAinfo arguing that bike infrastructure is a waste of money: https://chi.streetsblog.org/2017/01/25/farewell-to-mark-konkol-and-...

Thanks for sharing John. I've been following this closely and read this article just this morning about what transpired:

I think both the tone-deaf racism and faux facts on bike infrastructure come from a similar place of ignorance. I hope they really learn from this and have more diversity in their editorial staff.
