Hey Anne! Thanks again for organizing the blood drive. It was great chatting with you afterwards. That's great to know about the pedals. I may stop by in the spring when the "ferrari" comes out again. ;-) Ride on, stay warm!

sure. Turin is way north, right ? (I live in Humboldt Park and do not own a car). however - I spend a lot of time in Ravenswood at my GFs place...so that may not be too far.

Does Turin have showings at area races (and ride sharing, etc.) or is it more of a club ? (I have seen the jerseys)   thanks  p.s. what is the shop number ?

That is so cool that you are visiting Ypres. I have always wanted to visit some of the battle sites from WW I. If you wish to bring back a relic that would be very cool. Thanks in advance!

anne, I just read the bike fitting info! I wish you would posted it to the forum. I don't read comments on my page often. I thought I'd get an email alerting me if people post on my page but apparently they don't.

Just saw your posting for the track clinic ... a tad confused about the loaner bikes on the attached flyer - do I need to go to Alberto's or Turin's before the clinic or will they be at the clinic? Also, if one does not own a car but would like to go what is the best way to get there via bike or public transportation?

Like the kittys Anne, What are their names? I take it the black one is new and full of life. The boy has some nice claws. Does he tear up your furniture? I am dog sitting for a neighbor this week. I am taking care of her Germany Shepard, Ham and her Pitbull, Pugsley. She also has two kittys-A tomcat named Aldo, and a gray beauty with black feet named Ice. Like the share the road sign also on the pics you added not to long ago. Do you carry any of these at Turin in a jersey or t-shirt? Would buy one of each if you carry them. That is how I feel when I am out riding the North Shore. The Barrington bike law sounds goofy. State buggets are streched and these villages will have to find ways to make money so go after the guy or gal riding a $3,000-$5000 road bike! Any other villages or towns doing this in your area that you have heard about? I know Wisconsin is going to be short $54 billion and are talking about laying off state workers along with hiring freezes and layoffs of county workers. Makes me wonder if the roads will even be worth riding when spring arrives in Il and WI. See you on Sat. at Turin. Have to check out the new toys you are getting in. Jim

If you get a chance, visit Italy. It is the same as Belgium when it comes to riding and the biking culture. I would have to say the food is top door, wine is great, Italian beer is so/so and the riding is insane! Typical day is get up, light breakfast. Ride for 3-5 hours, stop at roadside cafe for coffee, light meal. Go and ride some more into the afternoon. Huge dinner, great night life. The mountain roads you fall in love with along with the nice weather being on the Med. The people are down to earth, warm and inviting and love riding and riders in general. Very fit, good looking guys and gals, and yes they still like Americans, unlike the French.
Of course you being a cross rider, Belgium would seem like a second home for you. Cold, wet, windy, beer, fries-just like Chicago in Spring. Are you having the Chili Willie again this year at Turin? Had a thought, how about getting all of the Chainlinkers together and fill up the shop. This would rock the house along with filling up the place. Hope to stop by this weekend if I have time since I need some things. I have been busy snowshoeing, weightlifting, kickboxing, and riding rollers getting read for Spring to hit. When you visit again, bring home an Eddy Merckx frame and get plenty of pictures, Anne. Thanks, Jim
