PJ's wife has lupus and was told she would die if she didn't have a kidney transplant so when her husband found out he was a perfect match, he was excited to help her and donate his kidney. Because his blood pressure was too high for the surgery, he spent a year of diet and exercise including riding their bikes and participating in lots of local bike rides together. He was able to donate the kidney and now both of them are much healthier through a drastic change in their lifestyle.
