Chicago's Spring Weather: 80-Degree Days, Less Rain, Early Summer Days

The last week of February or first week of March could see some cold, but after that things will warm up, Pastelok said.

And summer weather could hit the city early, Pastelok said, with "summer heat" coming in May. The city could see days that are 80 degrees or warmer in late May, when temperatures are usually in the low to mid-70s, he said.

You can show me all the scientific prognostications you want. This year, I'm going with Phil's predictions. In the past 130 years, he's never been wrong

80 degree days in May, okay. As long as it's not 105 degrees in July and August.

Accuweather said their earlier prediction for a mild winter was pretty spot-on so far. Except for the spots where we were all suffering from frostbite after riding our bikes.

It'd be great to do longer rides outside earlier in the spring. There are some new rides I'm really excited to try.
