Road Conditions

With the first snow of the season I wondered how road conditions are today, particularly Clark from uptown to loop. I was out of town all weekend and my morning commute (with kids) will be my first test of streets & sans performance.

I can tell you that Clybourn was fine from Western all the way to Halsted. After that I had to stay with traffic for two of the PBL sections because there was so much ice in them.

Wells was fine from Oak to Illinois. I expect Clark would be ok as well.

Question about Elston N up to lawrence- any info would be appreciated. Milwaukee N of Logan is sloppy with no bike lane. I didn't put the studded tires on yet :(

Friend of mine rode in Clark from Lincoln Park this morning and said the bike lanes hadn't been plowed and were just ice. Hopefully, a bit better later today. Take this with a grain of (road) salt. Just passing along what I heard. I have not had eyes on the situation yet.
