I've been noticing a number of new job postings have appeared on the site and I realized it wasn't that easy to find them all - they get a little lost in the thread. I added a new forum category, "Job Postings" to allow businesses to post bike-related job opportunities. If you see a cool bike-related job and want to share it, that's encouraged as well.

Divvy is expanding and hiring now for the 2015 season!
I work for a nonprofit organization called Skills for Chicagoland's Future. We're a free service to assist employers with their hiring needs, but we only target unemployed/underemployed Cook County residents to fill their vacancies. We are part of a initiative by the city of Chicago and Cook County to drive down unemployment. Since late 2012 we have put over 1,300 residents back to work and have relationships with about 40 different employers, including United Airlines, JP Morgan Chase, Rush Medical Center, Leo Burnett, and Divvy.
We have assisted Divvy with their hiring the last few years for various seasonal positions such as the Van Drivers/Rebalancers, Bike Mechanics, and Station Technicians. Most of the roles will pay $12-14/hr at 30 hours a week from now through October or when it starts to get cold. Some candidates convert to full-time roles, but Divvy's staff is very limited.
Divvy would like to have most of their 2015 seasonal staff hired by the end of March so that everyone is adequately trained by the time it starts to get busy. I will be holding interviews on Wednesday next week to present to them for a final interview on Thursday 3/5. The first start date is March 16th.
Most of the positions require a valid driver's license with a clean record, knowledge of Chicago's of streets, physical ability to move bikes around, friendly attitude to talk with customers, and fairly open availability. You will be required to work evenings and weekend shifts, but they have some flexibility with scheduling.
Please apply through the link below if you're interested and let me know if you have any questions. We're on a tight timeline with hiring for this role so spread the word! Last year I hired several fellow redditors!
