Hey guys, I'm looking for a 48cm-49cm touring bike frameset. I have my road bike built up like a touring bike, but, it's just not what I need. Steel frame, hopefully a Miyata is out there with my name on it. Let me know if you are selling, or if you know of anything!

These 2 Miyatas (Miyati?) popped up on Craigslist today.

This one doesn't mention size, but it looks kind of small:

I bet that first one is a stolen bike. I just bet.

I've been pleased with a shop of recycled cycles and framesets in St. Louis.

http://www.recycledcycles.net/recy.road.html

They are listing this under "Touring"

46cm FUJI CROSS -- 18 speeds, blue/red -- $635
(Measured c-c) 2001 cyclocross machine makes a fine all-around performer. TIG-welded Columbus Genius double-butted tubing with Fuji triple-butted chrome-moly cyclocross fork. Components include new Shimano wheelset with Weinman rims, Avid Shorty 10c cantilever brakes, Shimano 105 STI shifters and rear derailleur, Sugino XD-2 forged 36/48 cranks. Ritchey Logic Road Pro handlebars and stem, Ritchey Logic threadless headset. Very good condition. (Priced without pedals.)
It's perfect! except one thing that'll bug me...any good touring bike is gonna have Cantilever brakes. That would build up to be one freakin' sweet road bike though!

When I mentioned the Jamis Aurora, this bike is available as a fully built-up tourer for less than a grand. It's spec'd witrh a Reynolds 520 frame, Tektro Canti brakes both front and rear and Shimano Tiagra/Deore STI and Tektro inline levers. I checked and found it to be reviewed as the best buy for a touring bike. Go to Jamis' website
