Yeah, that is straight-up adorbs. I love her happy dance.
HOW I LEARNED TO RIDE: and this is the way all kids should learn to ride, in the era before the strider bike a cousin would take me to a local hill and we'd spend the day rolling down the hill. After doing this enough that it became effortless pedaling was introduced and eventually I rolled down the hill and kept on cycling. Easy.
That's how I felt the first time I did a proper track stand. Bikes are mad fun.
This is amazing! I feel this way every time I ride! I love how kids are incapable of hiding their genuine feelings!
That video practically made me cry. Bikes are joy.
Super cute.
True story. When my younger son was about 5, I took him to the park to try out his big brother's bike, who was about 2 years older. His big brother learned how to ride a 2 wheeler pretty quickly and I suspected he would do the same. There were no training wheels on the bike. I just wanted to get a feel for how he might do and introduce him to the experience. I was holding onto the end of the handlebar grip with my left hand and my right hand was under the seat to provide the balance he needed. I trotted alongside him as he pedaled. After just a few feet, I realized he was balancing himself pretty well so I lessened my support under the seat. I soon felt that he was fully balancing himself so I just let go. He rode away, completely unassisted, as if it had been something he knew how to do all along.
