Yikes!

Kinda looks like the pics I took from last year or when we had that 18" in one day with drifts and plowed in bikes.

But look at WGN's background pic for the weather. Ride on!


Yikes! Yes, but here in Chicago I've seen enough 'ice locked bikes' in racks where plows and shovelers have buried them halfway up in the 'concrete-like' black ice snow. I'll try to get some pics.

I didn't know that the "weather professor" was a cyclist! Is that him laying in the snow? Great pic.Ride on, Tom!

My brother, who is an amateur radio operator (aka HAM), studies sun cycles diligently, because they affect the way HF band signals reflect off the ionosphere.  According to his scrutiny of historical solar activity, we may be able to expect 8-10 more polar vortex type Winters.  Sorry.
