Traffic 'round these parts dropped off pretty dramatically a few weeks ago... hard to tell from the "I rode today" thread who's still riding, as one would have to conclude that Gene is the only one out there most days by reading it....

Who's sticking it out and plans to continue to ride pretty much every day regardless of weather?

I took off some layers, didn't use the balaclava, and still got to Union Station sweating like a pig. Nice temperature... I could get used to this weather!

Steve

I was warm with two undershirts and a sweater Monday and Tuesday. Today I went with one undershirt and a sweater and hit the right comfort combination.

Such a nice winter! I've done about 200 miles in January so far. :)

I've dropped the outer windbreaker pants the last few days.  I found anything more than 20 and my legs end up soaked.  Just rocking some surplus polypropylene tights, UA cold gear mock t-neck, wicking t-shirt, and a windbreaker jacket topped off with a UA balaclava.  Gloves- 3 layers, 2 polypropylene with a fleece top layer.

Oh and some wool socks with my Timberlands....their work boot line is awesome!

Yeah, I'm rocking a T-shirt, button up shirt and a coat. Same as what I wear when I'm off the bike.

If I overheat, I take it easier riding. If I get cold, I pedal a little harder. Works just fine for me above ~25 degrees.

Below that, I'll add a woolly jumper and some thermal longjohns. Leather work gloves over my regular gloves keep the hands warm and weatherproof.

Hahaha! Thanks for that, Tom. Luckily I had put my coffee down before I read that! I was looking over the pictures I took and saw Kye Martin holding a microphone... missed my chance for those 15 seconds. :-/

EDIT: another image of my "Winter" bike fraternizing with a C-Ti road bike. :-)
