You rode. That's what really matters. I truly wimped out today and took the train.

It was a wet ride, both inside and out. I was sweating because my rain coat is pretty much like wearing a plastic bag.

Tough gear call for me, too. Couldn't see carrying all the clothes I'll need for the delightful snow ride tonight, but 50° was pretty warm for wearing all that.

Today was the first day I overcame the desire to take the train and I rode in. I said I was going to ride all winter and I figure I have to get used to this weather if I'm going to do that. I was wet - and my shoes had about a cup of water in them when I arrived at work, but I did it. I just hope I survive the ride home. I might take Clark instead of Lincoln just in case I need to hop on the bus.

It was about 50 and sprinkling lightly when I came in today. Anticipating worse weather on the way home, I tossed a wool jersey and some gloves in my panniers. (I have my bar mitts installed, so didn't need gloves on the way in.) My wife reminded me that she won't be home this evening, so I'm left to my own devices to get home in case the weather proves worse than I anticipate.

The streets should be too warm to freeze up until tomorrow soonest, and they'll hopefully have a bit of salt on them by then. Enjoy!
