Who wants to do a Century Ride from Chicago to Milwaukee?

So here is the scoop; I have been wanting to do a Century ride for a very long time; Chiciago to Milwaukee. I don't have any solid plans as of yet except for the fact that I am doing it this year, perhaps in August. I am looking for anyone interested in planning and riding it. If I can get enough people interested I was thinking we could do the ride for a Charity or cause. I am open to all ideas and suggestions. Seeing as how this is a site for cyclists I don't really think that I need to explain what a 'Century Ride' is but just for sh**s and giggles a 'Century' is 100miles in one day. Please all who are interested contact me asap, Summer may be just getting here but it'll fly by quickly.

Louie,

Check back a few pages for the Ride To Milwaukee thread. Chris put together a couple great routes and we pretty much combined when we went up there in April.

And I would totally be up for doing that again.
I also did the Milwaukee ride that Chris organized. It was a lot of fun. There has been some talk about doing another ride. I'd definitely go again.
Yes Grayson! Milwaukee 2.0 race, I think chris and Lauren have a score to settle. ;) -

I think we should make it a race. We all put a pot of our spare bike stuff up for the prize. I've got a pair of 29" forks, some brake levers and a practically new saddle I could donate. I am half joking...

what kind of time are you aiming for?
I am thinking somewhere between 10 and 14 hours given the stops for food and other such necessities.

Yeah that sounds awesome, I really want to do this ride but I kind of think it would be boring as hell to do it by myself.

As long as there's beer in the itinerary for the Milwaukee end, and schedule permitting, I'm in.
I am interested. I'll keep it in my schedule tentatively.
Practice run for the 'Frozen Snot Century' ?
yeah man, milwaukee 2.0 for sure! There's a ton of other non-chainlink cyclists interested. Like Grayson, I was thinking about doing a fun, informal race out of it. I'm sure there are plenty of folks that don't wanna race and that's cool too! We could have 2 or more groups and then all meet up in Milwaukee to do stuff.

In addition for the informal "racers" (provided the group isn't too large) loser could just pick up the bar tab at the finish? Or Winner doesn't pay anything at the finish-bar?

This time around we could make some brewary reservations at sprecher too!

I've got a big ride in late June but thsi could go down early June or perhaps mid-July?
Yeah uh...me too. ha.
