Hey there - If anyone is interested in a meeting for this year's Chicago-Madison camping tour, please let me know. I have one confirmed participant aside from myself. Also if you can help me post the tour on the ATA's funky calendar system I would really appreciate it.
Attendance will be closed for the ride April 24, 2014!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK - We have three riders. Wish us luck! No other riders will be accepted without approval from the entire group and any group member can veto said application. Thank you for your interest!
I'm pretty sure at least two of us are going again this year, but anyone else interested post in and let's start to get organized.
May 23-25 - Chicago to Madison.
Roughly 60 miles a day, with two nights of camping in parks with all the expected facilities. Places to eat on the second night are a bit scanty but we usually bring stoves and dehydrated meals.
Mostly trails with a few roads though the parks around Milwaukee.
Take a bus back from the Student Union at Madison and arrive at the Metra downtown or at O'Hare early Monday evening.
Ever done the ride to Madison from the Harvard Metra and back? It can be broken into 70 mile days. The return can be done to Kenosha Metra on the way back if one hustles a little extra. As for the bus ride, do you box the bike prior the ride, or do they just let you roll it in to the storage?
You roll the bike on to the bus in Madison. The ride through New Glarus via Harvard, IL is pretty epic as well - the hills are cool - and the New Glarus brewery is a great stop. I'm a sucker for Spotted Cow beer.
