Thanks for the coffee & conversation everyone!

I like the pic from your handlebars!  First year I missed it. It's a great event!

yes! I'm glad someone went!

The side streets were not plowed at all in my neighborhood, and the arterials were a huge mess of deep sludge and slush. Given that Archer was never fully cleared from curb to to curb at all this year, that means the new slush and snow was concealing some large sections of mounded ice in the parking/riding lane. I feel bad about missing Winter Bike to Work day for the first time, but I feel much worse about the City's failure to keep the streets ridable this winter.

There's a few more seconds of the clip of Winter Bike to Work Day on Youtube

Sorry I missed it this morning. Hopefully the roads will be cleared up for tonight!

I work at home, so in general, I don't have a commute. But almost every Tuesday I ride to a certain hot dog vendor. I'm regular enough that on many a Tuesday, my Google phone pops up a map and tells me how long it's going to take to get to "work". Lest there be any question, yes I biked to "work" today. No line, and the side streets weren't as bad as I feared.

Thanks to the hardy folks that joined us this morning! It was super cold but it was great to hang out with cool bike people and drink hot Dark Matter coffee (seriously, so damn good).

Do you hear that? It's the sound of Rev Beer on tap. Countdown 54-minutes to Monk's...hope to see some of you there!
