The combination of anatomy, bike short design, the excess moisture generated from activities such as cycling can lead can lead to a bit of annoyance if not some chaffing. You asked in particular about any pet peeves as a male. However, its much more of an annoyance or perhaps an irritation than a pet peeve. We are still talking about riding a bike. I have no pet peeves. On a very bad day its still a very good thing. Lights, cars, authorities, weather conditions, road conditions, other riders? Whatever. I'm riding a bike.
