I like this! The design is fantastic, and it's simple enough to provide the basics without overwhelming a new city cyclist. Thanks for sharing!

A lot of commuters feel the need to be able to put their foot down while still on the seat. I guess for shorter rides it would not hurt the knees too bad.

Yeah, its a bit low.  And while she's at it as long as she is going to check her tires why not use a floor pump rather than a pinch? Other than that a nice video to break the barrier for new riders. Well done.
