Greetings fellow bike enthusiasts,
I live in East Lakeview and came home last night to find someone had broke the metal fence my cruiser was attached to and swiped my nearly new bike. The brand - Bobbin - is not sold in Chicago and its bright blue color makes it stand out.
It had an orange Kryptonite lock attached when stolen.
It has a brown saddle with matching brown handles.
There was a silver bell attached to it when stolen.
The serial number is M12C000762
The police report number is HW304996.
I did not own it long enough to register it through Chicago but I was still in my honeymoon phase. I loved my little cruiser and as a poor college student cannot afford another one.
PLEASE if you see this bike, it is a unique one, email me at soozieboboozie@yahoo.com

a ridiculous instagram picture of me on the cruiser:

Have you filed a report with the Chicago Stolen Bike Registry? - http://chicago.stolenbike.org/
I did. My fingers are crossed :/
Heartbreaking. That bike looks great on you. Fingers crossed, hope it turns up. :/
That's a beauty. I hope you're able to recover it.
Terribly sorry. My guess is check ebay and craigslist...given how new it is and a women's style I think they may try and sell it online.
Regarding the fence I assume you mean it was a standard metal mesh fence that they probably just used a cable cutter on? Nothing like the iron railing shown in the photo.
Thank you. I've been checking often.
And I had it on that iron railing but people came to paint the railing so I had to move in to a metal fence a little further over. The one day :( Go figure.

Sorry to hear about the theft. grrr....
You may already be using it or something like it, but I've found that If This Then That (ITTT) automates Craigslist searching pretty well.
