Oh, and the memberships go on sale today at noon.

I am getting exited. I think I'll just do a little happy dance in my cubicle now...

I'm going for the $125 version, mainly for the T-shirt. Hope the website doesn't crash! Granted, this isn't an iPhone release…

Streetsblog has the system map color coded by phase of installation. Both stations near my apartment and work are in phase 2!

It's noon!

And an explanation of the fees if you exceed a half hour trip:

Trips that are completed by Annual Members under 30 minutes are included in Membership, but trips longer than 30 minutes incur overtime fees. After the initial 30 minutes, Members will be charged an additional $1.50 for the following half hour, $3.00 for the next, and $6.00 for every half hour after that. A trip begins when a bike is unlocked and ends when the bike is securely returned to any Divvy station.   If you would like to use a bike for an extended period of time, we encourage you to rent a bike at a local bike shop or rental business. Please visit our list of local bike shops and rental businesses on our Resources page.

Darn, Member #110 - I had hoped to be in the first 100.  Who's got the lowest member# here?

Wish I'd seen that $10 off coupon prior to signing up!

Me too!  However, it looks like there might be some lag time involved in getting the $10 coupon.

I got #152.

I was all set to sign up so I could share my membership with houseguests, but I see on their FAQ that that's not allowed. Bummer. I guess I'm sorta wondering why I'd want to be a member, then...

All of you superbikers, why are you joining if you're already on a bike most of the time? Just to support?

No. 216.

Joined for 1) 1-way trips, like meeting friends out and cabbing it home later in the night; 2) winter riding. It says that Divvy is 24/365, and I don't like riding my personal bike on salted roads; 3) Not sure how it is enforced, but riding with friends who don't have a bike.  I read the FAQ, and it says non transferable.  That would clearly include lending my key to a friend for a week (understandable), but I'm not sure that excludes borrowing a bike with a friend.

Well - Crap. I already signed up (#177)

Dear Jennifer,

As an Active Trans member, you’re hearing it here first: Divvy Bike Share memberships are now available, and Active Trans members get a $10 discount off the annual membership fee.

#146!
