I don't have much information other than what's in the story:
http://www.mysuburbanlife.com/2012/12/04/bicyclist-struck-by-truck-...
Thursday, someone who knows the rider posted on a local FB page that he was still in ICU.
This happened 2 blocks from us and we go through that intersection virtually every day whether driving, walking, or biking. In fact, my daughter and I passed through there on our tandem shortly before this happened. It is one of my least favorite intersections to ride or walk through. The City of Berwyn installed a red light camera there due to the high number of accidents, but it only monitors 26th street, not East Avenue.
Thoughts and prayers for a complete recovery
Vince

Now this is good news (and not just in terms of ease of travel).

Response from Kim:
That's such a nice idea! Saturday and Sunday early afternoons are good. Keep in mind that Justin may not be at RML for more than 2 more weeks. After that he would move to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago downtown.
I'm not sure about what he would need for his room. I'll think about it and let you know.
Update:
I just wanted to let Justin know that we're still thinking about him too and hope he is still improving.
+1 Has Justin been transferred to the downtown rehab center?

Yes, he's at RIC in River North. An update from Feb. 20th:
Today Justin was cleared by the orthopedic surgeon regarding his leg and scapula/clavicle fractures. This means his fractures have healed enough that he can can weight bearing activities on his left leg and arm.
He is learning how to sit up straighter during physical therapy and he's also sitting up straighter in his wheelchair. He also got to try standing up during PT, which he was able to do with a lot of assistance from the therapist.
We also went to canine therapy tonight. The dogs performed on an obstacle course and Justin got to pet a Golden Retriever named Max and a Bernese Mountain Dog named Bernard.
