Why, Bob?  There must be a reason!  Can we help?  The first step toward correcting a problem is admitting that there is a problem. ;-)

there's not going be twelve steps and religion involved will there???? honestly, was just a bit burnt out at work.  i also rode up to waukegan for thanksgiving dinner so i at least put in some miles to make up for me driving in to work the following day.

Bob, you are vindicated!  Howard, probably felt better warm in your layers and not surrounded by others with stubborn colds. ;-)

Being bundled in smugness keeps one warm...

I just want to note that I was going to take the bus to work today (as justified by trying to shake a stubborn cold) but this thread motivated me to ride both ways.

You know it.   ;)

i wonder if i could draw a confessional booth around this post? to keep things a little more anonymous and yet still be able to serve our penance?

i can totally relate to coffee sometimes deterring me from riding!,,,not an excuse,,,just a weakness.

I drove the first two days of my work week for the simple reason that I was a lazy bastard and went to bed late, got up late, and didn't feel like riding. Oh yeah, and all my cycling clothes were dirty because I didn't wash them on my weekend (hate wearing dirty cycling shorts - a severe case of crotch-rot will change your perspective on dirty shorts - TMI?), oh yeah, and I had nothing to eat for breakfast so it was easier to drive and stop at Dunkin Donuts. So, how's that sound for some serious justification?

so we need a laundry support group, and a coffee support group, and an alarm clock support group, and an "early to bed" support group, and a shop to have food in the house support group, and a . . . .

+1 !!!

excuses only sound valid to those makein em' so i promise to ride more!

Tomorrow is another day.

I will lay out the layers this evening and might even dig into the box of handwarmers in the morning.

By mile two the heart will be pumping and the soul will be refreshed.

Don't forget to set your alarm.

This is almost always the determining factor of me riding to work.

Sometimes I'd come home too inebriated tired and be too lazy to lay out my next day's outfit and thus panic in the morning and just say: "Heck with it, I'm taking pt today."
