I got this from the website:
"For 2012, bicycles are permitted on all weekday trains arriving in Chicago after 9:30 A.M. and leaving Chicago before 3:00 P.M. and after 7:00 P.M., and on all weekend trains."
Does that mean I could not take my bike on a Friday morning UP-N train from the Ravenswood stop to Kenosha? If I did, it would probably be an early one, like 6:46am.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks. I'm thinking of going to Milwaukee tomorrow and whether I use the train for the first leg depends on how tonight goes. Good to know its an option
Just make sure that you can bring a bike on the train you plan to come back on. And there are very few trains from Kenosha so plan accordingly and add in some buffer time in case something goes wrong. You don't want to shell out $167 for a cab back like I did one time.
Thanks. The plan is to return Sunday, so I'll either have to bike the whole way back or get on the train in Waukegan.

When you look at the train schedule tables there's a little picture of a bike below the train runs that allow bikes.
