Just a quick note to thank CCC, Turin, the volunteers and those in the Chainlink community who were out at Montrose yesterday.  I raced my first race yesterday (4b) and got my lumps, but had a blast.  Great community and a fun time for all those who were out there.  Oh, special thanks to the fans with the Knob Creek shots on the top of Cricket Hill.  I wasn't touching their bacon hand outs, but the shot was much appreciated by this rookie.

Congrats to Chase who took #5 in the 4B's, PJ took #7 for the 4B's and Evan took #13 in Cat 4's and everyone else who did an amazing job!

How did you do?

If it was your first CX racing or watching, what surprised you??

Ronit Belazel sent this awesome picture she took yesterday of PJ's back.

I rode by sat afternoon and saw the setup , looked awesome!

cross looks like to much fun

I stopped by to watch for a while; I've never been to a cross race before, and it was right there, so why not? It was a lot of fun, other than being cold (since I was underdressed for just standing around.) It was also largely as I expected, save for there being less silliness (yes, there was Supergirl) and less hike-a-biking than I expected.

My first time watching a cross race too- really fun! Though agree with David, I expected/hoped for more silliness! When's the next event (in Chicago, not suburbs)?

The AfterGlow, Dec 17th in Humboldt Park.

I voluneered for 4 hours and had a blast. 'cross races are so much fun because they are more laid back then criteriums, etc. I agree, CCC and Turin and all others did a great job of organizing. congrats to PJ Evan chase leyzdoo and Lori Chipps - you guys all rock.

p.s. the hot dogs actually tasted great. thanks for those. and the soup was awesome too.

Had a blast volunteering and hanging out with Julie H. and Chris Mailing (of Turin) at Registration Sunday PM.

Great event!

Thanks to all the Chainlinkers this season for all their support.  This being my rookie CX year, I would have never thought that so many of you would come to so many races (even the suburbs) to cheer on your fellow clinkers.  It was tons of fun, and having folks screaming at me only fired me up in every race!  Great job to all the racers I knew and met through the series...I learned a lot from you all & enjoyed hanging out.  Thanks to all the volunteers that help make this happen!

Cheers!  Already can't wait to start next years cup series...

Again, you were awesome out there in registration... cool under fire with all those racers trying to register.  I couldn't find volunteers for registration and you came through just in time.  George

Great event!

Thanks for volunteering, Dan.  You and the other volunteers were the unsung heroes that made it work.
