yeah, but we know he won't die because he was in the first x-men movie. But, meh?

p.s. this conversation going on in here is hilarious!

Nice that they included Sabretooth in there.
They had to include Sabretooth! There is a history there! A long runnin' feud! ;-) I CAN'T wait for this movie!!! If it's a let down like X3 someone is in trouble!

What is the studio wrangling you speak of? Is the movie getting held up for some reason? I'm also kinda dubious regarding Snyder's handling of the flick, but still want to give it a chance.

Copyright infringement lawsuit. More here:

Oh, and...Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach? F'ing BRILLIANT!!! (and kind of ON topic, since he was the co-star of Breaking Away, the best bike movie EVAH!)
Oh for Christ's sake. I really hope this doesn't delay the release significantly. I've been dying to see an adaptation of Watchmen ever since Terry Gilliam's name was attached to the project.

When I saw Chuck and Buck, I thought Mike White woulda made a pretty good Rorschach, too. Just dye his hair red and let him be creepy! But JEH is some pretty kickass casting. I agree!

It's been awhile since Gilliam's name was attached, though! At least Snyder is balking at the idea of a sequel or prequel...which unfortunately means if the movie is a hit, whatever studio gets the spoils will probably hire Bret Ratner to direct...
How in the HELL could they even think of a pre/sequel? I mean, of course whatever studio ends up with the spoils will want to milk that cash cow, but it would most likely be hellaciously lambasted by the vast Watchmen fan base. And Alan Moore has already distanced himself from the initial foray; I wonder what his reaction to a follow up flick would be. Wouldn't be pretty! And it may be REALLY funny.

Alan Moore has not just distanced himself from this movie, he's relinquished all his rights to any movie made from any book he's ever written and stipulated that any cut should go to the artists. His take is that comics are inherently unfilmable because they do things that cinema cannot, and he got so frustrated so early-on by the messes made of his work that he's just signed away the whole deal, forever, and washed his hands.

I believe his quotable quote regarding THIS Watchmen movie is: "I can tell you I will also be spitting venom all over it for months to come."

Sigh. Hero.

Also, Hollywood will milk a comatose caterpillar if they think there's money in it.
Your alignment is obviously Chaotic-Neutral. ;-)

Chaotic Good ;-) I don't want anyone harmed unless they got it comin'. And I might just do it myself! ;-)
