I was told that MSNBC showed the video at some point today but just for shock. and a quick google search brings up a crap CBS article and a brief note from the Washington Post. Maybe if someone had died they'd care?

A few of the kids at 4chan are trolling the bike boards praising the car driver for a job well done but it hasn't really taken off there yet.  Even the b-tards aren't that riled up about it.  

 

By next week it'll be totally forgotten about except for a few velo die-hards.  Maybe something will be drummed up next month around mass  if someone prods them first,  but the local press is liable to ignore it then too since they didn't notice it the first time around and digging it up then will only make them look bad.

The big thing to watch is if he gets any traction with the self defense stuff.  If that goes anywhere it sets an ugly example; cyclists all over the world need to pay attention to this and be vocal because if he comes out with anything less then a slew of attempted manslaughter convictions it sends a message to the world that it's OK to hit a cyclist.

Looks like they carry quite a bit of Brazil affiliated stuff online - wonder what's actually in store. Perhaps a spoke card? Half Brazil flag/Chicago flag with a bike on the divider? I can't do photoshop but if someone put it together and sent me the file i could get 'em made at work.

Is this a good time to remind everyone that Associate Judge Carol A. Kipperman is up for retention this year? Her term expires in June. I don't yet know if she's on the April ballot or not.

My bad. Associate Judges are voted on by the Circuit Court Judges in secret ballots, NOT by the electorate. You won't see Kipperman on a ballot at your local polling place.
