I can see why I don't see too many bicyclists on Western (Infestern) Ave.

Well, it's an idea for Mad Max 4. Now if only we could get Mel Gibson back to his crazy 80's self...

I thought the Thunderdome was a place hardcore cyclists go to, to make battle with cagers...

Juan, I too did not know about the Thunderdome until a few years back. But, now I do.

As for the 'road warrior' reference, see here: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082694/

WTF is the Thunderdome? Anyhoo, on my way out nortwest to Infestern (Western), I remember all that talk about not riding on the sidewalk at the Mayors' Bicycle Program on Wed. at city hall, I found myself laughing as I was forced to ride the sidewalk on a stretch of Damen (Dammit) just past the highway underpass.

The Thunderdome is on (or just off of) Ashland or Western?

Western and Ashland are for Road Warriors trying to get to the Thunderdome.
The Thunderdome is at Clifton and Kingsbury.
I love Western but you best b on your toes! If there was a bike lane, I am telling u, I'd be set.
He's not crazy enough for you now? I'm not sure he could get much crazier.

Infestern (Western) Ave. can be like a highway, but if we make a bike lane, it would be a little safer for cyclists and make our presence to those cagers more apparent. I am willing to deal with those idiots behind the dashboard, its been more than 20 years that I have been exposed to traffic scum. Having been a messenger, I have developed a keen sense of traffic flow and unexpected predicaments in order to quickly get from point A to point B.

For the most part, Western is a very speedy alternative when I need to get around quickly. I am able to keep up and pass up stretches of angry cagers. I just don't like to do it too often...

I don't like riding on a street where they do 45mph or more. I like to wind my way through by taking side streets or less used now that I live west.
I never liked Sheridan or the far north part of Broadway either.
Let me rephrase James.

Now if only we could get Mel Gibson back to his crazy 80's self...

There aren't enough psycho-pharmaceuticals in the WHOLE whole world for that trick.

But it would be cool...

But I can wish for the crazy 80's Gibson, can't I?

You can wish for Jesus too. Neither are going to happen ;)
So is that a place of drinking? or a post apocalytic velodome? or both?

Thanks for raining, hailing, sleeting, snowing and generally storming on my parade.
