Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the Perimeter Ride this year.  I didn't see it listed in the calendar and I'm wondering if it's going to happen this summer.

Perimeter Ride is a John Greenfield ride. He usually does it in August...
Wait for it...
OK, let's tentatively schedule the Perimeter Ride for Saturday,
August 28, leaving from the fountain in Wicker Park, 1450 N. Damen
(NOT Bum Island) at 10 am.

Here's some background on the Perimeter Ride for the uninitiatied:

any updates on this as we approach the date?
Two weeks to go!

John, if you read this, I was wondering if the route be the same as last year's, or any changes? I ask because there's a house in Oak Park, near North and Oak Park that might be a cool spot to swing by. I don't know if there's a story behind it, just cool to look at. Very space age.
...to follow up.....It's the Kirsch home. It's on Greenfield (no pun intended), a few blocks east of Oak Park. Greenfield is a few blocks south of North Ave.
Yes, all systems are go for the ride as listed on the CL calendar for August 28, leaving at
10 am from 1455 N. Damen (Wicker Park Fountain). Ricardo, got any more info about the Kirsch home?

I found these 2 tidbits on a blog. The architect is Errol Jay Kirsch. He designed the home, and had it built as his personal residence in 1979. It is one of the early solar homes. Not much information, but upon seeing the house...it kinda speaks for itself. One of the links above has pics.

The architects firm has a website, but not much info on it.

Hope this helps.
