I've been drinking and riding since I was 16, am 45 now... It's all about knowing your limits... If I'm too drunk to ride I sleep off at a friends or take public transit home... Btw to drunk for me is seeing double and unable to stand up,usually caused by malort...

Intuitively, it makes sense to me that a drunk driver is far more likely to hurt others, while a drunk biker is far more likely to hurt themselves. Maybe it's just the stories I hear from my friends, but drunk bikers seem to have more problems with curbs and basic gravity than with cars or pedestrians.

Yes, right or wrong?...of no consequence. You can't pick and choose your actions and expect the world to abide by them exactly. This isn't the catholic religion. Thank you mom and dad for all the guilt grinding catechism.
It's hard to imagine riding and not drinking. Can that be done?
I smell a fellow lapsed Catholic...I'll drink to that!

If we could ride with a beer in one hand and a hot dog in another, we probably would.
