Way to go, Norm! And your mileage leaves me far, far, far in the dust.
Haha, Let's shoot for 8k next year. shouldn't be too hard with the California trip in early April, and a few of those Madison WI, rides...

Myself and Mr. ALI (also a Chainlink member) passes 5000 for the year in mid-October while out on the west coast~ Big fun!!
Thanks Mark and all you Chainlinkers.

This will be my third time in the past five years on crossing 6000. In 2005 I hit 4500 my highest mileage ever. The next year decided to aim for 5000 for my 50th year of breathing. I over shot that and hit 6700. Then in 2007 hit 7100. Last year I had some health problems and squeaked in 5100. Each year I find new ways to add on an extra mile or two. Be careful though Wednesday night I was trying to add another mile and got a flat within one mile to get home. It was raining and 40 degrees. I rode that one mile home. I stood and cranked keeping all my weight on the front wheel. I did not ruin my rim or damage the tire but I changed it today and what ever I ran over was the size of a pencil and ruined my tire anyways.

Just Ride

Way to go, Norm! But Norm doesn't need us to congratulate him - riding is its own reward.

Late this Summer I started riding again after a short 15 year break. I've done 1650 mi on the fixie/SS commuter and probably another several hundred on the roadie. I'll probably top out at 2000ish this year.

Next year I'll top 5000 mi, Insha'Allah.
I'm at about 3500 over the last 7 months on my everyday bike (counted from when I built it.) Maybe a few hundred more on the 'fun bike' for the year.
