The Chainlink

I'm looking for a good course to try my hour long record.  It should be flat, circular (or square) so wind is less of a variable, low traffic and some decent length, say 3-4 miles.  I bet there are some suburban areas that fit this bill.

My city best version is Museum campus.  But, it has too many stop signs, two hairpin turns and is always windy.

I appreciate any feedback.

Northbrook velodrome

Laps of the Skokie Lagoons, perhaps? Or Fermi.

How about Vollmer Road Woods in the south suburbs?  It's about 3.5 miles around in a circlish pattern.  It's close to Vollmer Road and Cicero Ave.  Check it out and report back if you like it.

I'll check it out.  Thanks
