Hooray!

Thinking about coming out for the ride? On the fence?

Do it. It's a lot of fun, a slow pace, and you see many parts of the city that you wouldn't on an everyday ride.

And of course, Superdawg!
Easy to jump off during?
Anyone got any ideas for good places to visit this year
that we haven't hit before?

John
Yep, We'll be crossing lots of CTA and Metra lines.

I looked at some reviews online, and it sounded fun, but a little unlcear. So how does it work. Is it a group ride? Or do you ride alone? Are there cue sheets? Can we drop off somewhere along the ride? Is it all road riding?
I was thinking of riding our tandem together with Mrs. Duppie, but we might not want to do the full 100 miles.

Yes, it's a slow group ride with cue sheets. We pretty much stick together. You can join us by calling 312-560-3966 and it's easy to leave via CTA and Metra at many locations. IUt's all road and paved trails.

1. Yes, it's a big group ride. It's not "supported," though.
2. No, you don't ride alone.
3. Yes, there are cue sheets.
4. Yes, you can drop off along the ride (see reply #4).
5. Mostly road, a few trails.
6. Tandems welcome!

Have fun while I'm gone!
Come again. We were pretty well a single mass last year.

Sorry, Payton, participants should be forewarned that they may indeed find themselves riding alone for stretches of this ride, unless the way it's being led/organized has changed significantly.

It was my favorite ride of last year! met so many good folks.
what is a mobile SAG?

What time do you think you'll be hitting Cicero, John?
I could maybe show up with a mobile SAG station depending on the timing (gotta work in the morning).
XV,

I'm guessing he means a trailer with repair parts.

based upon what i've seen from previous years, it looked like some folks got together for breakfast @ the hollywood diner before the ride...are there any prearranged breakfast plans this year?

oh, and another question for the perimeter veterans - from what i understand, the ride runs from 10am until roughly 2am...but how much of that time is spent on the road vs. stopped @ the various points of interest? i'll definitely be there (you had me @ superdawg), but i'm debating about whether my commuter bike can handle the pace, without a tune-up, first.
