Holy Bottom Bracket Chris King!!!

Ok,

A lot of you probably know that Chris King makes a headset that will outlast multiple bicycles. (I have one that has been transplanted to 3 different bikes) They are, quite simply, the best headsets ever.

Chris King also makes really rad' hubs. They're light, serviceable, awesome and did I mention awesome???

Since I was 16 I've heard rumors that C.K. is going to come out with a bottom bracket. While most boys were wondering how they were dreaming of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopez in the Waterfalls video or Britney prancing around Loyola Academy dancing just for them I was dreaming of a C.K bottom bracket.

Well, 11 years have passed. Limp Bizkit is no more, Britney is undoubtedly crazy and we've all basically forgotten about TLC. CHRIS KING IS GOING TO FINALLY RELEASE THEIR BOTTOM BRACKET!!!!!!

Unfortunately, this probably means that BB30 (a new bottom bracket size that helps tout "Laterally stiff yet vertically compliant" is going to be the new "awesomeness" that 31.8 handlebars and stems were a few years ago.


PS. Did anyone race yesterday at Jackson Park?

oo la la. what took them so long do get to the BBs?

I didn't race Jackson Park as my cx bike is under construction, but was there working and ringing my cowbell.

We had a record turnout and it seemed like everyone had a great time. Thanks to everyone who turned out!

I feel your pain. I'm still waiting for a headset and gear to come in the mail.

Strange I ordered tires from Utah and they arrived in 3 days. I order parts from Ohio and they take twice as long to get here.

What are you buildin up?

I don't know...I'm all about the CK headset, but I'm probably still using Phil Wood for my dream BB of choice.

Phil Wood doesn't work for external BBs. CK works with new Shimano.

Totally true, but I'm a steel rig, square taper kinda guy. :) If I were going external, I'd totally rock that.
